The way they manage to capture energy on their recording, is unique for this era… you have to go way back to 60s, when recording were done in one room, with all the musicians playing at the same time, doing one take, on a four-track recorder to feel the same kind of energy. lIDLES’ music could be classified as punk…. primarily because of the energy and attitude…. but the musical style in not punk. The band formed in 2009 and the IDLES’ first release was the Welcome EP in 2012. Since then the have released Brutalism (2016); Joy as an Act of Resistance (2018) and Ultra Mono (2020).
