Halloween Parade in Kawasaki, Japan
This Halloween event in Kawasaki is massive! A parade designed not only to conjured up nightmares and fantasies, but also celebrated creativity and ingenuity. I was struck by the variety of costumes, number of participants and the ranges of ages - truly diverse. Moreover, the attention to detail of each costume was jaw-dropping!
I attended that 22nd incarnation of this hallowed tradition in 2018 and had the good fortune to watch over 2,000 people paraded on the streets of Kawasaki, many in handmade costumes in Japan’s biggest Halloween parade.
